Screenshot 2025-06-16 at 11.59.16.png

Zakeke 3D DAM supports many modern 3D formats, including:

  • glTF, glb
  • glTF extensions
  • vrm
  • usd, usda, usdc, usdz
  • fbx
  • obj
  • ply
  • stl
  • CTM
  • CAD Formats

Maximum Upload Size: 0.5 GB

Please make sure your file does not exceed 0.5 gigabytes. Larger files may fail to upload or be rejected by the system.

1.1.1 Analyze 3D Model

Once you confirm, you’ll be redirected to the Asset Detail page. There, the uploaded 3D model will be analyzed, key KPIs will be displayed, and an optimization will be suggested if needed to ensure optimal performance.

Screenshot 2025-06-16 at 15.29.04.png

The Asset Information panel includes two main tabs:

  • Optimizer Tab: displays the key KPIs of the 3D model and highlights in orange—also indicated in the legend as “To be optimized”—any values that exceed the recommended performance thresholds, suggesting that optimization is needed.
  • Model Info Tab: provides advanced technical details about the 3D model.

Note

  • When you upload a 3D file in a format other than GLB, Zakeke automatically sets the asset to Unpublished status.

  • This is done to allow a quality check before the asset is made available. During this stage, you can verify whether the model meets the recommended performance metrics (e.g., file size, polygon count) or if it needs further optimization.

  • Once you’ve completed this review and applied any necessary optimizations, you can publish the asset Screenshot 2025-06-24 at 14.32.35.png. Publishing it will unlock the options available under the “Share and Embed 3D” tab.

Note

For 3D models that are already uploaded to the Asset Library, you can manually trigger the analysis by clicking the “Analyze” button in the Asset Information tab of the asset’s detail page.

If your 3D model requires optimization, Read the FULL GUIDE on "3D Asset Optimization" guide for all the details.

1.1.2 Use 3D Models from DAM into Zakeke Product Configurator and Visual Customizer

Once uploaded to the Asset Library, 3D models can be directly imported into the Product Configurator and the Visual Customizer using the “Import from 3D DAM” functionality available in both tools.

This allows you to reuse the same asset across different customization experiences, ensuring consistency and efficiency in asset management.

Note

We recommend using optimized models to ensure better performance and visual quality. You can optimize your 3D models directly from the Asset Library.

Learn more about optimization in the dedicated guide.

1.2 Asset details and Settings

The Asset Detail page is split into two main sections: on the left is the 3D viewer, where the active model is displayed and can be rotated and zoomed in to inspect every detail. On the right is the asset control panel, containing all relevant information and available options accessible through the vertical menu.

Asset Information

In this section you can find informations about your asset.

Screenshot 2025-06-17 at 11.45.37.png

  • Name: A descriptive, non-unique name for the asset. It helps identify the asset easily but is not required to be unique. For example, multiple assets can be named “Red T-shirt”.

  • Code: A unique identifier for the asset, such as a SKU or internal reference code. This must be unique for each asset and is useful for integration with product pages or for external systems integration.

  • Date creation: the date when the asset was first uploaded.
  • Published: if set to “Yes”, the asset is ready to be used in Zakeke products such as the 3D & AR Viewer, or to be imported into the Product Configurator or Visual Customizer.
  • Optimizer Tab: displays the key KPIs of the 3D model.
  • Model Info Tab: provides advanced technical information about the 3D model.

Note

To learn how the name and code fields can be used dynamically when embedding the 3D Viewer, please refer to Section "Passing dynamic parameters: name and code" of the embedding guide.

Settings 3D Scene

You can click on the icon to edit the following settings groups:

Screenshot 2025-06-17 at 11.49.14.png

  • General: the general parameters groups settings that affect the overall appearance. These include background activation, background color and tone mapping.
  • Environment: the environment parameters control the virtual surroundings in which the 3D model is displayed
  • Lights: the lights parameters manage the lighting setup within the 3D scene. Options include lights activation, intensity and position regulation.
  • Camera: the camera parameters define how the user views the 3D model. This includes settings like camera position and auto rotation.
  • Shadows: the shadows parameters deal specifically with how shadows are rendered in the scene. Key settings include shadow size, blur and color.
  • AR: the AR (Augmented Reality) parameters impact the view of 3D models in augmented reality.
  • Model: the model parameters focus on the properties and position of the 3D model itself.

Save Settings

After you have adjusted the parameters to suit your preferences, it is essential to save your settings by clicking on the Save button.

Manage Asset

In this section, you can manage the specific 3D models you’ve uploaded or optimized. You can update them by uploading a new model, a custom environment, or a different preview image than the one automatically generated by Zakeke.

Share and embed the 3D / AR Viewer

Screenshot 2025-06-17 at 12.10.08.png

The integration can be carried out via:

Link

Simply copy and paste the link wherever you want. From that link, your customers will be able to open the 3D / AR Viewer.

You will also find a QR Code which works in the same way as the link.

Iframe

You can generate an iframe for your 3D / AR Viewer by setting your custom size for it. Simply copy the HTML code and paste it on your own assets to directly show the 3D / AR Viewer with no need for any button or link to open it.

Learn more here on "How to Embed the Zakeke 3D Viewer in Any Website or CMS".

Share Button

In this section, you can generate a button that can be placed on your pages or other assets to let your customers launch the 3D / AR Viewer.

Zakeke gives you all the tools to create the button as you prefer with your custom texts, colors, and borders.

Below the button preview, there is the HTML Selector.

If you need to place the button in a specific position in your HTML page, you can simply write the future container of your button's ID or Class name in the HTML selector text area.

In this way, when you copy and paste the button link, it will place itself exactly in the container you need it into.

Otherwise, if you don't have a specific container for your button, you can leave the HTML selector empty.

These three checkboxes let you decide which icons will be shown in the 3D asset view.

Virtual Try On

Through the Virtual Try On feature you can enable customers to virtually try on your products. Please check all the details about this solution here
