Summary
1. Connect to Zakeke
After integrating the Zakeke component into the PIM, the “Connect to Zakeke” button becomes available, allowing you to activate product synchronization with the 3D DAM.
The integration between PIM products and Zakeke 3D DAM is managed through the right-hand sidebar, which appears when clicking the “Connect to Zakeke” button.
Click on “Start Now!” to begin using the component. On the first login, you will be required to enter the API Keys for the account created on zakeke.com.
1.1 Retrieve API keys
Log into your Zakeke Account
Navigate to Your Account > API Access
Copy the Client ID and Secret Key displayed on the page
After logging in, you can begin the upload experience.
2. Upload a ready-made 3D model
Upload a ready-made 3D model in .glb format to activate synchronization with the Zakeke viewer.
The main features of the asset uploaded to Zakeke 3D DAM can be displayed on the product sheet in the PIM:
- Canvas with the integrated 3D model viewer, allows you to explore the asset in 3D.
- A public sharing link for the 3D model viewer.
- iFrame script to copy and paste into any website or CMS (refer to this guide).
In the Zakeke component sidebar, you can customize certain iFrame script settings such as size and widgets. Once the changes are made, click the “Sync Asset” button to make them visible in the PIM.
With the “Open in Zakeke” button, you can access the 3D DAM back office for a more advanced asset customization experience, including settings for lights, environment, background, shadows, positions, enabling Virtual Try-On features, and much more.
3. Create a 3D modeling request
The Zakeke 3D DAM component integrated into the PIM allows you to request the creation of a 3D model starting from product images. This feature is useful when a 3D asset is not yet available, enabling seamless generation of high-quality 3D models directly from uploaded reference images.
This functionality streamlines the 3D asset creation process, making it easier for businesses to integrate high-quality 3D models into their PIM without requiring advanced design skills.
Once the request has been submitted, you can manage and track it in the “Requests for Services” section of the DAM.
