Order Automation

Order automation is a key step to streamline production workflows and reduce manual handling of print-ready files. Zakeke provides print-ready files by default inside the backoffice, under the Orders section, but there are several ways to automate how these files are processed and delivered across your systems.
 

1. Using Zapier (No-code automation)

The simplest way to automate order workflows is through Zapier. Zakeke is natively integrated with Zapier, allowing users to build automation workflows without writing any code.

With Zapier you can, for example:

  • Automatically save print-ready files to Google Drive
  • Send production files via email to suppliers or internal teams
  • Create tasks in your ERP or order management system when a new order is received

Zakeke also provides pre-built Zapier workflows, which can be used immediately or customized based on specific business needs.

Please note that you can use Zapier to build automation for quotations as well if you use the Get a Quote tool.


 

2. E-commerce platform integrations

Depending on the ecommerce platform you use, print-ready files may already be accessible directly inside the order details in your ecommerce admin panel. This is the case with platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, PrestaShop, and others.

In some platforms, this is available by default. In others, such as Shopify, you may need to enable it via Settings > Integration Settings

This allows operators to quickly access production files directly from the order backend without additional tools.


 

3. Custom workflows via Webhooks and APIs

For advanced or fully custom automation needs, Zakeke provides developer tools:

  • Webhooks for real-time event notifications
  • Design API for accessing customization data

These tools allow full control over how orders and print-ready files are processed, making it possible to integrate Zakeke into any custom system or internal workflow.


 

4. Third-party order processing tools

Zakeke also integrates with third-party order management solutions such as Order Desk.

This enables businesses to centralize order processing, automate file routing, and connect Zakeke-generated print files with broader fulfillment workflows.
