Set your own rules to name the print-ready files

Zakeke allows you to define your own format to name the print-ready files.
In particular, inside Settings > Print-ready files names sections, you can set a rule on how to name the:

  • print-ready files

  • zip package that includes the print-ready files and the order summary

  • summary file name

  • single print-ready file (for those who activate the Get a single print file).

You can name the files as you want by using any words and/or placeholders. This is the list for the placeholders that you can use:

Examples

  1. You've a product with the code 12345 and you make the following format for the zip file:

    productCode_orderDate_customized

You receive an order on August 3, 2024. You'll receive a zip named as follows:

    12345_03-08-2024_customized

  2. You've a product with two sides, "front" and "back", with the 5678 and you make the following format for the individual print-ready files:

    orderCode_productCode_sideName_qty_example

You receive an order (number 1234), both sides customized, and a quantity of 1. The print files will be as follows:

    1234_5678_front_1_example
    1234_5678_back_1_example

Warning

If you know that at least one of your products will have multiple sides or multiple print areas, the custom name you create for your print-ready files must always include placeholders like sideName or sideID (for multiple sides) or areaName or areaID (for multiple print areas). Otherwise, you won't receive separate files for each side or print area, as they will be overwritten.

Example:
Product: T-shirt with two sides, front and back.
In this case, any custom name you create should include sideName or sideID to ensure you receive separate print files for the front and back. Otherwise, Zakeke will generate two files, but you will only receive the last one generated.

This condition applies only to the first field: "Print-ready file name".
