How to disable the mip map

The mip map is a 3D model materials optimization in which the Zakeke's 3D engine, upon the creation of a texture, creates a series of low-resolution versions (e.g., 512x512, 256x256, 128x128) to be used when the camera of the 3D scene is far away from the 3D model, because the details of the specific texture and material are not paramount.

Enabling the mip map make these details disappear, you can also disable it to enhance those details.

You can disable the mip map optimization inside the Scene Editor section of the 3D Configurator.

IMPORTANT

Remember that this option only applies during the upload process; once a texture is uploaded, the "No mip map" box will be grayed out.

To enable/disable mip maps you need to:

  1. delete the texture
  2. toggle the option
  3. re-upload the texture
