1. Back-office
The Zakeke back-office gets developed in English and your see it in English by default. However, you can still switch it to your language by clicking on the "world" icon in the top bar.
2. User Interface
The Zakeke UI automatically takes the language of your store and gets shown in that language to your customers.
2.1 Support to multiple languages stores
The UI works with multiple languages as well:
- All the default content provided within the UI gets automatically translated in the language that has been selected for the main store;
- Your custom content, such as images categories or messages for your customers, needs to be properly translated by you. Check the video and read below how to do it.
Pre-set Texts
Pre-set texts are pre-existing text elements of our default Back-Office and UI. You can choose to add and manage more languages and Zakeke will translate the pre-set texts you can find inside the specific tab and will let you edit those translations.
IMPORTANT
The automatic translation is not natively supported on Wix and Woocommerce. Please contact our team to get support on this matter.
2.2 How to translate custom content in multiple languages
Custom added texts
Custom added texts are custom text elements added by you, such as product variants, image categories, tools’ names, images and clipart names, etc. You can enter your preferred translation for any of the custom element you desire to translate in different ways.
One is the following:
- Go to Settings > Translations
- Click the button Manage Language
- Then select Add language and choose from more than 80 languages available
IMPORTANT
The language deletion process is irreversible and the translations for the selected language will return to the default ones.
HTML texts
Handling translations for text in the Messages and Alerts sections, the Clipart categories, as well as the PDF Preview, requires a separate process. This is because these sections use an HTML system instead of simple text.
Let's make some examples to better understand specific cases.
Example 1: you added a welcome message to the customizer for your users in English and you want to show the message also in Spanish when your store is set to work in Spanish. The way to do this is as follows:
- Change the language of the back-office to Spanish (from the top bar, see point 1 of this guide);
- Go to Tools > Messages and Alerts;
- Click on the edit icon for the Welcome Message;
- Write the message in Spanish and Save;
- Now, when your store is set in Spanish, customers will see the welcome message in Spanish.
Example 2: you create a gallery of images for your customers divided into categories. The name of the categories are "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Easter". The main language of your store is English, but it supports French as well. So, you want your French customers to see the galleries as "Joyeux Noël" "Joyeuses Pâques" instead of "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Easter". You do as follows:
- Change the language of the back-office to French (from the top bar, see point 1 of this guide);
- Go to Tools > Image and Clipart Galleries;
- Click on the edit tool on the category name you wish to change and change it to the translated version (in our example, "Happy Christmas" gets changed to "Joyeux Noël");
- Save.
- Now, when your store is set in French, customers will see the gallery name in French.
