Overview
AI Try-On lets your customers see your products on a virtual model or on themselves. You can enable it from the back-office, giving customers a more interactive shopping experience and helping them visualize your products in a realistic way.
This tool is compatible with all Zakeke solutions: Visual Product Customizer, 3D Product Configurator, and 3D/AR Viewer.
How it works
You can activate it from:
AI Creative Tools > AI Try-On
You may need to create one or more rules to control when and how the tool is available. For example, you can set it to apply only to specific products, or create different rules for different products or categories with customized settings for each.
Once a rule is active, customers will see a dedicated AI Try-On button in the product page UI. They can select presets and enter their own prompts to generate renders of the product being worn. See below.
Configurable Back-Office Settings
When setting up a rule, you can choose:
Models: Decide which models your customers can use and if they can upload their own image.
Backgrounds: Select which background categories are available and whether customers can upload custom backgrounds.
Poses: Choose which poses customers can select.

Design Effect: Apply a default effect to the customer’s custom design in the product customizer before generating the Try-On.
Example: If you sell t-shirts and set “Embroidery” as the design effect, the customer will see their custom t-shirt design with the embroidery effect applied in the AI Try-On render.
For models, backgrounds, and poses, you can also upload your own images. For backgrounds, you will be asked to create a category.
Automatic Generation Behavior
If a maximum of one option is enabled for each category (models, backgrounds, and poses), the customer will not see any selection step in the configurator. In this case, the output will be automatically generated using the preconfigured options set in the back office.
Usage Controls
Usage Controls allows you configure settings to regulate how users access and interact with the tool, helping you prevent abuse and misuse.
You can choose whether the tool is visible only to logged-in users or to both logged-in users and guest visitors. You can also limit the number of requests available to each user, either per session or within a specific time period (e.g., allow a maximum of 10 requests in 15 minutes), allowing you to ensure fair usage and control costs.
They apply globally to the tool, not per rule, and appear on the tool main page once at least one rule is active.
Pricing
This tool uses a credit-based system managed through the AI Creative Tools Addon (Your Account > Addons > AI Creative Tools). Credits are consumed every time an output is generated or edited.

⚠️ All generated outputs consume credits, even if the customer selects only one of them or aborts the generation process.
For example, if you configure the AI Image Generator & Editor to produce 4 outputs per prompt, generating those 4 images will consume 4 credits, even if the user ultimately selects only one. Similarly, if a user launches a product staging generation and aborts it before seeing the result, 1 credit is still consumed.
When you activate the tool, an initial 20-credit pack is provided for free. Auto-refill is enabled by default: when your credits run out, the first paid pack available is automatically purchased, ensuring uninterrupted service.

⚠️ Note for Shopify users:
If your store runs on Shopify:
When activating the tool, the initial credit pack is provided for free, so no approval of charges is required. For any subsequent paid credit packs, you will be redirected to Approve Charge page in Shopify to confirm the purchase. Failing to confirm the approval will prevent the paid pack from being purchased, and the tool won't be available in your Customizer.
Auto-refill is not supported. When your available credits reach 20%, you will receive an email notification. You can manually purchase additional credit packs from: Your Account > Addons > AI Image Generator & Editor
