When an order fails to process correctly, Zakeke shows an error message. These errors are divided into two main categories:
Missing output files This means the order was successfully processed both in your e-commerce platform and in Zakeke, but an issue occurred during the generation of the print files. Includes errors 101, 102, 103.1, and 103.2.
Unprocessed orders This means the order was created in your e-commerce platform but was not generated in Zakeke due to an error during processing. Includes errors 104 and 105.
Error 101 — Design Deleted
Description: Print files cannot be generated because the design linked to this order was deleted during your storage cleanup.
Why this happens: Zakeke allows you to manage your storage to stay within limits. To avoid exceeding your allocated storage, you may have deleted older or unused designs — called unpurchased designs — as described in this guide: Managing your storage on Zakeke.
When you delete unpurchased designs, these designs are permanently removed from Zakeke’s database.
This can cause Error 101 in the following situations:
A customer had one of your products with that design in their cart and completed checkout after the design was deleted.
A re-order occurred: the product with that design was ordered again after the design was deleted.
In both cases, Zakeke cannot generate the print files because the design no longer exists. There is no way for Zakeke to block a cart or a re-order outside of our platform, so the order proceeds on the e-commerce side even though the design is missing in Zakeke.
Solution: ❌ Zakeke cannot recover these files. Unfortunately, contacting us won't help. 👉 Contact your customer and ask them to place the order again.
Error 102 — Missing Print Files
Description: An error occurred while generating the print-ready files.
Likely cause: A temporary issue during file generation.
Solution: ⚙️ Recovery might be possible. 👉 You can contact Zakeke Support at help@zakeke.com, providing the Design ID shown in the message.
Error 103.1 — Missing ZIP (Recoverable)
Description: An error occurred while generating the ZIP file, but individual print files are available for download.
Likely cause: A temporary compression or server write error.
Solution: ✅ Recovery is possible. 👉 If you need the ZIP package, contact help@zakeke.com and include the Design ID.
Error 103.2 — Missing ZIP (Recovery might fail)
Description: An error occurred while generating the ZIP file, while individual print files are available for download.
Likely cause: A more serious compression issue or a temporary loss of connection to the storage service.
Solution: ⚠️ Recovery might not be possible. 👉 You can contact help@zakeke.com with the Design ID to attempt recovery.
Error 104 — Order not generated (Recoverable)
Description: An error occurred while generating this order.
Likely cause: A temporary issue linking the design to the product, or a disruption in the generation process.
Solution: ⚙️ Recovery might be possible. 👉 Contact help@zakeke.com, providing the Order doc ID shown in the error message.
Error 105 — Order not generated (Product Modified)
Description: This order cannot be generated because the product linked to this design was modified after the design was created but before the order was processed.
Why this happens: This error occurs when the product or its components used to create the design no longer exist in Zakeke at the time the order is placed. Common scenarios include:
You deleted (and possibly recreated) a side, print area, or variant of a product on which the design was previously created and saved or added to the cart, and the customer purchased that product after the deletion.
You had a product without variants, and a design was created on the main product. Later, you added variants, and the product was purchased after the change.
In both cases, the entities you deleted (sides, print areas, variants, etc.) no longer exist, even if they were replaced later. As a result, the design becomes orphaned, and Zakeke cannot generate the order and related print files.
Solution: ❌ Zakeke cannot recover this order. Unfortunately, contacting us won't help. 👉 Contact your customer and ask them to place the order again.
