How is the transaction fee calculated?

You pay a transaction fee on the price of each customizable product that you sell via Zakeke.

IMPORTANT

From November 7th, 2022 new Zakeke plans have been released. The way the transaction fee works changes based on whether you have subscribed to Zakeke before or after that date.

a) Plans activated after November 7th 2022

Transaction fees are different depending on the selected plan:

PLAN TRANSACTION FEE
Starter 1.9%
Grow 1.8%
Scale 1.7%

The transaction fee is calculated on the final product price excluding any tax and shipment.

The fee is calculated based on each item, not on the entire value of the cart.

The transaction fee is not charged:

Please note

Transaction fees are not related to the status of the purchase after the customer complete the checkout (canceled orders, orders not delivered or not payed).

Price floor

Regardless of the product's sale price, the fee has a price floor of $ 0.02 on a single product. Since Zakeke charges you in your currency, the fee floor will be charged in your currency.

See an example here below:

- You've got a product priced at $ 0.55. You've selected the Starter Plan, so by applying the 1,9% transaction fee, the value to pay to Zakeke for a customizable product sold would be $ 0.01.
In this case, Zakeke applies the price floor of $ 0.02.

B) Plans activated before November 7th 2022

By choosing the Advanced or Unlimited plan - in addition to the monthly usage fee - Zakeke holds a transaction fee on each customized product sold by the merchant.

The transaction fee is calculated on the final product price excluding any tax and shipment. The fee is calculated on each item, not the entire value of the cart.

Regardless of the sale price of the product, the fee has a price floor of 0.05 and a cap value of 15.00 on a single product. Since Zakeke charges you in your currency, the fee floor and fee cap will be in your currency.

See a couple of examples here below:

- Example for the price floor of 0,05: you've a product priced $ 0.55. By applying the 1,9% trasaction fee, the value to pay to Zakeke would be $ 0.01. In this case, Zakeke applies the price floor of 0.05.

- Example for the cap of 15,00: you've a product priced $ 3,000. By applying the 1,9% transaction fee, the value to pay to Zakeke would be $ 57.00. In this case, Zakeke applies the cap value of 15.00.

The transaction fee is not charged during the free trial and for the test orders, even after the free trial.
