Overview
The Glyphs and Special Characters tool allows you to enable a button for glyphs, symbols and special characters on your customizer interface.
If the font supports symbols and special characters, your customers will be able to use them for their designs other than standard characters.
In order to make it available for your customers, you need to activate the tool from your Zakeke back-office as described in this guide.
Enabling the tool
In your Zakeke back-office, go to Tools > Glyphs and Special Characters > Add rule
You can now create a rule to enable the tool on your customizer:
-
Give the rule a name;
-
Set for which font(s) the tool should be activated;
- Choose a range of glyphs to exclude (which means that your customers won't find those glyphs and characters in the list in the customizer).
The button is now visible in the text tool of your customizer. See the image below.
Example
-
The user select the text tool...
-
...and choose his/her favorite font to personalize your product
-
by clicking on Glyphs he/she opens a map of all supported glyphs and special characters for that font
How to remove Glyphs
In your Zakeke back-office, go to Tools > Glyphs and Special Characters > Add rule
Select the font (pick all if you want to remove a character set, e.g., ASCII) to which the rule applies, then press"CHOOSE GLYPHS TO EXCLUDE".
(Try to select fonts with common glyphs to facilitate the deselection of the glyphs process.)
Select the font/s in the select, after that select all the glyphes you want to exclude.
After you're done selecting the glyphs, press the "SAVE" button in this dialog to save the rule for these fonts.
At the end don't forget to Save the rule too, to apply it.
